Mizan Institute of Technology (MiT) is pleased to share that we recently held a productive and encouraging discussion with representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia regarding our work in practical digital skills training, youth employment, enterprise creation and technology-driven economic empowerment.

The MiT team, led by Mr. Teshome Haile — former staff of Save the Children for more than 15 years, Head of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Mizan — included Eng. Samuel Hailemariam, Director of Digital Services and Lead Engineer at Mizan, and the CEO.

This talk reinforced the need for what we do at MiT: teaching young people the technical skills they need for jobs in the digital world. At MiT, we believe digital skills can change lives, boost innovation and help with economic turnaround. It is not just about classes; it is about creating chances for people to earn with pride and dignity.

Our goal is ambitious — we want to spread accessible, practical tech education across Ethiopia and beyond. Plus, we are teaming up with partners who agree with our plan. There is much more to come as we keep moving forward with this initiative.

The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.

Stay tuned for MiT's next chapter, scholarships and many more.
